Antique, 18ct Gold, Victorian, Dearest, Acrostic Multi-Gem Ring

This wonderful, hard to find antique acrostic ring is crafted from 18ct Gold. Its multi-gem petals comprise a central old cut diamond, 2 emeralds, an amethyst, ruby, sapphire and topaz. The first letter of each precious gemstone spells out the word, 'DEAREST'.

The gems sit around the central diamond like petals, and the head of the ring itself is beautifully designed in a floral effect around the gems. Under a loupe, you can see that the central old cut diamond sits comfortably in a wonderful star setting.

This very pretty acrostic ring would have been a sentimental gift given to to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver held them as their 'dearest'.

The UK ring size is a Q which is a US size 8 1/4. It weighs 2.54g.

This ring is in fabulous condition, with just some age related rub to the gemstones  as would be expected with a ring of this age. Looking through a loupe, i can also see that the ring has had a new band, probably due to a re-size at some point in its life.
